News That Gets You Moving

Is Palin up to Moving from Alaska to the White House?

Ever since McCain announced Palin as his running mate the press has been in overdrive with reports focusing on her lack of foreign policy experience but, there’s one question that hasn’t been asked. Will Palin be able to handle the move from Alaska to Washington? Washington, the nation’s capital is a lot different from sleepy Anchorage. I’m not trying to belittle her but, will she and her family be able to handle the fast pace of Washington? Also, is her family ready for their mom to be on the world stage? As we know being the VP involves many late nights and overseas trips and whoever is elected to the position will have to make a lot of sacrifices.

I’m not saying working mums should have to forgo their career ambitions just because they have children but, shouldn’t we as voters ask the question, will she and her family be happy in Washington? I’m sure Sarah and Todd have discussed the arrangements but it’s time to let the people of America know their plans. Otherwise how can we make a proper decision on whose best to run the country without all the facts.

Many in the USA Express Moving Anxiety

I came across a good article about moving to and from the USA. When it comes to moving there are many things you must consider, including choosing the right moving company, checking visa regulations to see what restrictions certain items may have in other countries and checking to see if you can work in other countries. Some of these points are pretty obvious but some people have made mistakes in the past.

For starters, just because we’re citizens of the USA doesn’t mean other countries will accept us to work in their country. The correct procedure is to organize employment before arriving, which means you’ll be granted a work visa for that country. Not all products we own can be taken into other countries, for example food items and exotic wood products. Each country will have their own regulations and restrictions on what you can bring into the country, best to check with the country’s consulate before departing. Choose a moving company that has international moving experience, there’s a lot more paper work involved in moving overseas than locally in the USA.

It’s important to note when moving overseas you’re going to have to part ways with some of your furniture. There’s no way you’ll be able to take everything with you. Allow plenty of time to sell items, otherwise you’ll have to throw a last minute yard sale and sell everything cheaply just to move the items. To find out more tips on moving internationally, check out the article titled USA Express Moving. Moving internationally is a stressful event for all involved, to reduce the stress try to organize everything as early as possible.

Is Hollywood still Moving to Canada to Make Movies?

A trend that has been occurring for years in Tinseltown is the use of Canada and other overseas locations for the filming of Hollywood movies. For years the American dollar was the dominant force in the world, which was great for people travelling overseas but a nightmare for manufacturers including film makers. To reduce costs film producers looked overseas for cheaper alternatives and Canada was the perfect fit. Toronto’s downtown is very similar to many USA cities, making it the perfect choice for film makers. Making it even more attractive for film producers was the tax incentives the Canadian government was offering, which made filming in Canada 25% cheaper than the USA. Some classic Hollywood films which were filmed in Toronto include X-Men, Resident Evil, and The Day After Tomorrow to name a few.

With the recent collapse of the USA economy and the weak US dollar will this mean film production will be moving back to Hollywood? I’m sure the caterers, moving and storage companies and technicians would welcome the film makers pack home. Movie-related industries rely on Hollywood and I’m sure these industries will be praying for a speedy return to Hollywood. I’m not sure if Hollywood produced films will be moving back home anytime soon, I suppose it depends what happens with the rest of the world’s economies. If there’s a melt-down across the board I think Hollywood films will still continue to be made overseas.

Moving trucks move into Seattle, USA

A move that has been in the pipelines for years has finally occurred. Seattle’s two basketball teams the NBA Sonics and the WBNA Storm are on their way to Oklahoma. Back in 2006 the two teams were sold to an Oklahoma consortium with the option of moving to Oklahoma. The moving trucks were in Seattle last month to start the move to Oklahoma. While the women’s team is staying put thanks to a group of leading business women who bought the franchise, the men’s team weren’t as lucky.

After 41 years in a city, it would’ve been a sad day for Sonics fans seeing the moving trucks roll into town and clear out the headquarters of the Sonics. While the sight of moving trucks clearing out offices is not uncommon in the USA at the moment, thanks to the country’s financial vows, I think it’s a lot sadder when it’s your local sporting team that is moving and not a major USA financial institution that has gone bust. With the start of the NBA season only a couple of weeks away the new franchise will have to express move everything if they want to ensure they’re ready for the new season.  At least the people of Seattle can still get their basketball fix from watching the Storm play and maybe one day the famous dark green colors of the Sonics will rise again.

USA Express Noticed More People Moving Locally Than Changing States

Last year approximately 39 million people in the USA moved homes, the vast majority, 25 million stayed within the same county and only 5 million people moved to a different state. USA express moving reported the main reasons for people moving was due to the desire of wanting to own their own home or to live in a better neighborhood. Family and employment issues were the next popular reason for moving. People aged in their 20’s had the highest moving rates with 25% of people in this age bracket moving at least once during 2007.Regarding race the black population were the biggest movers in 2007 with 18% of the population moving, followed by 15% of the Hispanic population and only 12% of the white population moved during 2007. USA express moving also reported the economy would have played a big part in people moving, many residents have downsized their homes since the slowdown in the market.

Celebrity Couple Moving from the USA

Rumor has it Hollywood’s most popular couple are leaving the USA and moving to France. Well that was one of the many rumors circulating last year involving the glamour couple Brad and Angeline. I’ve done a quick search and come across a number of stories involving the couple’s apparent living location from New Orleans in the USA, to European cities including Prague, Paris and Berlin.I suppose packing up and moving cities is not that hard when you’re multimillionaires. USA Express today reported that the couple are happily living in a small village in the South of France and they’re not planning on moving anytime soon. Who knows what the tabloids in the USA and Europe will print next week involving the couples moving activities.

Tips for Moving to the USA

Out of all the countries in the world the USA is still seen as the place to be. The USA is a country full of hope, a country where people come to full-fill their dreams. Every year millions of people from all over the world express interest in moving to this country. But, out of all the millions of people who apply for a visa only a small percentage actually get granted a permanent visa for the USA. Before moving you must plan ahead and research your move to the USA.

I came across a great article from USA Express Moving which explained the process of moving to the USA, I’ve summarized the article below.

  • Certificates of registration are necessary documents for your original country as a way to prove that the items you are moving are yours and not for sell. Check with your local embassy for more information.
  • Obtain an export declaration form which would be filled out by your express moving company. It is best not to pack your own boxes but to let your express moving company does so to not create problems at USA customs.
  • Be sure that you have a passport or check if you need to renew it as many people have forgotten about renewal. Be sure to have a working visa as the USA requires that you have one in order
  • to stay there.
  • Obtain your medical report which is required to travel to the USA, certain immunization are required in order to be let in. A medical letter from your doctor is required if you’re bringing any drugs into the country.
  • Make sure you plan ahead and do all your paperwork in order to move without any delays. Be sure to hire a reputable moving company for an easier journey and be sure they are responsible for the insurance if by chance some of the items are damaged along the express moving process.

Moving to the USA can scare and frighten a lot of people because of the procedure but good planning will make it easy and smooth.

Will the Government choose USA Express Moving This November?

With the presidential elections not far away the rush to find a moving company that can handle the move from the White House is on. Many moving companies across the USA have expressed interest in helping George Bush move out of the White House but, so far the government hasn’t endorsed any one company. One thing is for sure George won’t have to express pack his belongings because he has to leave regardless of the November election result. To avoid any last minute moving issues he should start packing up some of his belongings now. With numerous bids in including USA Express Moving it will be interesting to see if the government opts for change this November and selects a new fresh faced moving company. Or will the government continue the pattern of using the same old tired Washington based moving company they’ve always used? Only time will tell…
